The day started off well with a record number of participants for this venue. Sadly, weather was not with us. The beach survey and cleaning were cut short due to heavy rains and a thunderstorm. While the weather prevented us from completing our planned cleanup, nevertheless, the participants were in high spirits and they had fun learning while serving. The amount and weight of litter items collected were affected (significantly less than previous years) as the organisers felt that it was unsafe to continue the cleanup during a thunderstorm.
